… except she isn’t.

The cow isn’t kept pregnant to keep her lactating. The stimulation of the udders and teats continues the cycle of the lactation - in the same way breastfeeding in human women can continue for YEARS after the initial pregnancy, regardless of further pregnancies or not, so long as there is stimulation.

Also, cows don’t have an unlimited supply of milk, and it isn’t a painful extraction - nor is it constantly exhausting. When no more milk flows, that day, the stimulation stops, the cow is taken from the milking ‘parlour’ (I use the word lightly) and is allowed to do whatever they do on their farm. Graze and sleep, I imagine.

Milking cows are slaughtered for meat, at any age - not just ‘7’. Cows, as with all livestock, can be put to market at any age. Also Seven, for a cow, is adulthood. Cows reach maturity aged two. The argument they are trying to make is that they are slaughtered whilst still children! But they aren’t. And it’s silly to imagine as such.

The industry can be cruel, I would be a fool to deny that, but, that is not always the case. PETA blame all members of the dairy farming industry for the atrocities which the minority has committed.

And they conveniently forget the damage the planting/harvesting/processing of the dairy substitutes can do to the environment.

One of the reasons I don’t drink milk. Don’t forget all the hormones the cow is injected with from the moment it’s born.
